Site update :: Summer 2009

Alright?
Just back from holiday. Went out to Paros, our favourite Greek Island, just to get away from the madness of the media furore surrounding MP's expenses and the UK in general, really.

I can heartily recommend two weeks of sensory depravation; just a few books, a bit of music, some good company and glorious weather. It's damn good for the soul.

The Lucid Recordings Shop is now fully functional. This means that you can order physical product from here as well as digital download.

Each CD release is manufactured to order by hand and is packaged with bespoke artwork, along with the remastered audio CD. Obviously!

The 2nd alucidnation Album

Yes, finally the new album is pressed and ready to hit the shops. It's released on the 6th July in Australia and New Zealand on One World and is released throughout the rest of the world on the 29th July on Big Chill Recordings through PIAS distribution.

It's already garnered some decent praise from various folks; come back soon and I'll start posting up some reviews, even if they're bad!

The Big Chill Big Issue Benefit Album - 15x15
Released April 09

Two alucidnation tracks surface on this special 15th anniversary album, with all proceeds going towards helping the homeless in the UK. 15 tastemakers, synonymous with the Big Chill, had to select one track each that they felt was instrumental in the foundations of the festival from the past 15 years, so Pete Lawrence very kindly selected 'I'm Not Bad', the track that started it all for me, I guess. Also, 'Pedal Steal', from the forthcoming alucidnation album Get Lost appears on the digital only release of this LP.

i-label - The Chillout Lounge Vol. 3

Ben Mynott has compiled another tasty selection of sublime grooves for Chet Selwood's i-label. He's included my uptempo remix of Fragile State's 'Undercurrent'; not my fave remix I've ever done, but it's nice to know that someone else likes it!
