The Square and Compass
13th - 14th June 2009.

After missing this gem of an event last year due to a slipped disc, there was no way I wasn't going to make it this year, unless some other serious health issue floored me.

It didn't, so we made our way down to the Dorset coast in the trusty wagon for a weekend of cider imbibing and general merriment.

Stunning weather, amazing ales and ciders and a great bunch of friends, old and new made this a cracking weekend. The musical lineup consisted of Emily Davies [a really promising singer-songwriter], Dollboy [performing tracks off his new LP] and Gaz Mayall, who tore it up on the Saturday night playing his selection of old blues classics.

As is usual, I played a DJ set on the Sunday, early afternoon. The sun came out too... we'd been enveloped in cloud on the Saturday, so the Sunday sunshine was a real blessing!
