The Big Chill Bar Opening Night
1st August 2004, Dray Walk, Brick Lane, E.London.

After a week of hedonism and heavy drinking in the Herefordshire hills during the Big Chill Eastnor Festival, it may have seemed a tall order to make it to London to DJ at the opening night of the new Big Chill bar in the fashionable Brick Lane, but somehow, Stuart Nisbet and I managed to do it.

We arrived at about seven pm to workmen still putting the finishing touches to the place, and no working soundsystem, which wasn't good.

However, after a few tweaks courtesy of Chris Greenwood to the sound, we were in business. I sampled the menu, which was agreeable to say the least. And the sound was great!
