...well that was the plan anyway! In reality it was a shambles; the majority of people who had turned up as punters didn't actually get to see many of the acts that had been advertised to perform.

It was largely down to the fact that the organiser had taken on way too much responsibility to ensure that everyting ran smoothly - a classic case of attempting to run before mastering the art of walking in a straight line.

Having said all of that, I had an absolutely belting time! It was actually quite nice going to an event where I didn't really have any responsibilities - after all, my set got cancelled due to the sound systems being taken away on the Saturday night (I was due to play on the Sunday)

In some respects, not having any music as a distraction turned out ot be a good thing - people were more chatty and there was a really nice communal, old-skool vibe about the place. I'd say that there were no more than 700 people there in all; on the Sunday a group of people got together a generator and some speakers and there were some improv sets played - I managed about 40 minutes worth, sitting on the floor in a tea tent.
