Ready Steady Mix Big Chill Special

The organisation behind some of the best music and best events is TEN YEARS OLD. We celebrate by getting co-founder Pete Lawrence and fellow key artists Bruce Bickerton and Tom Middleton to come up with a birthday track in just one day.

The Contenders:

Pete Lawrence
The man behind the Big Chill. He smiles a lot, has tons of Big Chill meetings and is resident DJ at Big Chill parties. He also produces his own music under the name of Chilled by Nature. His most recent release is 'Musical Box', released in January 2004.

Bruce Bickerton
He's the other Big Chill resident DJ and the man behind Alucidnation. As well as music, Bickerton works with 3D animation, photography and graphic design. He's also the man who provides the nut-twistingly high vocals for this particualr track. Bruce's tracks have featured on many chill-out compilations (he was on the Future Music CD a couple of years ago) including '21st Century Chillout' and the Big Chill's recent 'I-Chill'. He also remixed 'Musical Box' along with Ulrich Schnauss.

Tom Middleton
He's the regular Big Chill collaborator plus a respected DJ and producer/remixer in his own right. After meeting Richard James (Aphex Twin) in the late eighties, Tom ditched his cello and started tweaking synths working under a variety of names including Reload, Link, Global Communication and the Jedi Knights. He's remixed everybody from Goldfrapp to Leftfield and is currently working on his debut LP as Cosmos. Watch this space.
