Aside from the filmic downtempo meanderings of 'Widescreen View' which was written back in 2002, this selection of work is my most recent, dating from 2007 and 2008, varying in pace and mood. 'Peace in C' is a live improvisation played on a relatively new addition to my studio - a 1968 Danish Minipiano which I bought when we moved back to Harrow. I just love the tonal quality of this instrument... There's a fresh take on 'Blue Horizon' here, as well as two tracks co-written with Jake Bickerton - that's him playing the fuzz guitar on 'Delay Time' and jamming on 'A Fruity Conserve'. '16 Below' is the mellow deep-house companion track to the ambient '15 Below' which appears on the new alucidnation LP 'Get Lost'. |
